Day 12

Boy, am I glad this week of rehearsals is over… it was so tough, but so helpful.  I have to say that I feel so much more confident with the material, as we go back through everything and start cleaning.  It’s still a little tricky, because changes are still being made to choreography, and with two casts working independently of each other, getting the memo from one to the next is no easy task.  The dance positions are so specific, so working your body into the exact moves is hard.  But, I know it’s for uniformity, and believe me, when things gel, it looks AMAZING!  We started the day with more staging.  Yeah, once again, not really my favorite part of the process, but we have to do it.  After lunch, we started dancing again with the principals.  It was a long afternoon of dancing.  It’s exhausting, but fun all at the same time.  So, I just got home a little while ago, out comes the ice and a few chips to get into the stomach.  A good idea, since the cast did tequila shots after rehearsal.  Yeah, it’s true.  It was motivation to get through the day!  Not to worry – mine was VERY small.  Ha!  Aaron and I met up with a friend this afternoon for lunch (Hi, Scott!), and that was lots of fun.  I guess he and Aaron hung out a little while SOMEONE went back to work!  So now, Aaron and I have to figure out what’s for dinner.  We were going to do a Halloween party tonight, but I think since we don’t have directions, we’re going to opt out.  Too tired, and he leaves tomorrow.  I will probably do nothing but rest once he’s gone and get ready to go again on Monday.  After talking over the potential headshot, we decided to wait.  The photographer only had one hour available, and for the money we would be spending, we just felt it was best to wait until he had more time to give.  I’m actually a little relieved, because if my face looks as exhausted as I feel, we probably wouldn’t be happy with the results anyway.  So, that’s all for now.  Don’t forget to change your clock!
