Day 23

Just when I thought I couldn’t be more tired – it is possible.  It was another long day at the theatre.  I’m very tired.  We had to conquer two big dance numbers while we were there: “Blue Skies” and “I Love A Piano,” both of which are AMAZING!!  The subtleness of “Blue Skies” gives it a very sexy feel, and “I Love A Piano” with its raising platform is just outright impressiveness.  We’re told the dance surface is being redone tomorrow morning, as it is still very slick for us.  We’re all working in new shoes, as well, so I think everyone is just a little frustrated (not just dancers).  But hopefully, all will be better in the AM.  I am excited for tomorrow, because we have our sitzprobe at 1:00 PM.  If you’re not familiar with what that is, it is the first time we sing with the orchestra – YAHOO!!  I can’t wait to hear it all together.  So just as my foot got healed, I now have another interesting scenario.  Last night, I was typing on the computer and saw this funny bump on the top of my left wrist.  It is most prominent when I drop my hand forward.  It’s like the bone is protruding a little bit.  I spoke with some castmates, and they said that is common in gymnasts or people who force the hand down hard (like catching yourself).  There is no pain, no loss of mobility, nothing.  It’s just downright yucky looking.  I’m falling apart.  I’m just going to watch it and see what happens.  Another self-diagnosis: on WebMD, it appears it could be a Ganglion Cyst (not cancerous and may go away on its own).  No worries if not painful, though it can be drained if it becomes painful or unsightly.  Pretty much, what I think happened to my heel – it’s a fluid filled sac.  Sheesh…  Well, speaking of “sac,” I’m about ready to hit mine.  I’m sleepy…  Good night!
