So the morning was finally here – time to try my hand at the train (subway) for the first time. Not so bad; I was pleasantly surprised. I got my metrocard easily and found my way without trouble. Never mind the fact that I was SOOO tired this morning. My only problem – I get a little turned around when I get off the train. I’ve had to turn around a couple times, but in the end – I found my way. Rehearsal… well, can I just tell you that boot camp doesn’t even rightly describe the long day I had. The singing rehearsal was nice, and my head was measured for a wig. The morning was smooth. I had a salad sandwich (yes, you read that right) for lunch – not bad. It’s a far cry from my usual grease meal, but it was so much better for me. After lunch – DANCE. Let me say that we learned “Let Yourself Go/Happy Holiday” tap, a big chunk of “Blue Skies” jazz and a chunk of “I Love A Piano” tap. I am exhausted. My calves are screaming (not as loudly as my Achilles), and I am dreading tomorrow morning when I have to awake to the realization that I am TOO OLD FOR THIS!!! And I get to do it all over again. The worst part – after rehearsal, I still have to get home. It’s not as easy as getting in my truck and making a drive (seat warmers, radio, leather seats – comfort). Nope – I have to walk to the train in the cold, take the train and walk in the cold again. Considering going back out for dinner and a few grocery items, I quickly reconsidered when I passed a KFC. Now utterly exhausted, I am highly considering going to bed (at 8:30 PM) – if I can get rid of my headache. The light at the end of the tunnel – it does get easier, right?
