Triple threat Melissa Schott joins a star-studded group of presenters and performers including Gloria Estefan, Chita Rivera, Vanessa Williams, Denyce Graves, Storm Large, Rita Moreno and more at the Adrienne Arsht Center this spring.
Presented by the Adrienne Arsht Center, the 11th Season Gala Concert celebrates and pays tribute to women in the arts will take place March 30th. The all-female lineup will be under the musical direction of Broadway's Madeline Smith (Waitress, Frozen).
A featured singer/dancer in Cirque du Soleil's Original Company of Banana Shpeel, choreographed by Jared Grimes and directed by David Shiner, Schott performed at New York City's Beacon Theatre, Chicago's own Chicago Theatre and Toronto's Canon Theatre. She was also with the National Company of Irving Berlin's White Christmas (Judy Understudy), choreographed by four-time Tony Award nominee Randy Skinner and directed by Tony Award-winner Walter Bobbie.
Melissa most recently has traveled North America as a featured singer in Classic FM's Four Decades of Radio Hits show, performing with various symphonies, including the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, National Arts Centre Orchestra, Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, and the Naples Philharmonic. She is a featured vocalist for MTI's Broadway Jr. recordings of Pirates of Penzance (Ruth), Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (Violet and Mrs. Gloop) and Into The Woods (Witch), and is the choreographer for Music K-8 Magazine tutorial videos.
Proceeds from the Gala will support the Arsht Center's Arts Education and Community Engagement programs, which enrich the lives of people of all ages in Miami-Dade County.

N’Kenge to Join Edmonton Symphony for FOUR DECADES OF RADIO HITS, Sept 18-19
Melissa joins the North Carolina Symphony which will pay tribute to iconic music and lavish shows in the finale of its 2014-15 Pops series, Pops Goes Vegas, Friday, May 15, and Saturday, May 16, at 8 p.m. in Meymandi Concert Hall in downtown Raleigh. The concert program, which features such classic numbers as "Luck Be A Lady," "Hey, Big Spender," "Viva Las Vegas," "My Way," and "Fly Me to the Moon," will be led by conductor Jack Everly, and will feature Martin Preston as Liberace, and vocalists Scott Beck, Allison Briner, and Ted Keegan.
